SCSI
to IDE external write blocking device, two versions were released
with alterations to the low voltage power adapter that supplied power
to the external hard drive. Released for OEM production to Guidance
Software Inc. under the FastBloc® label. |

PCI
test unit. This unit was produced to verify operation of IDE address
redirection and streaming byte encryption technology. This device
was never released for production. |

This
External / Internal write blocking device was designed for testing
the new CoreRESTORE™ chipset. This was the device
that introduced the circuitry for IDE hot swapping. Power to the
circuit and external low-voltage
power adapter
is controlled
by the front micro switch allowing the write protected hard
drive to be safely removed, then replaced while maintaining CPU power.
Other devices have been introduced based on this 5 1/4" design.
Dual serial ATA and parallel IDE designs are currently in testing. |

Inside
the External / Internal write blocking device. This unit was used
to prove the 48 bit register ATA 133 & 166 write blocking capabilities.
Advanced IDE address redirection and byte encryption technology
using the
CoreRESTORE™ chipset was
also refined within this design. The latter technology out paced
the write blocking requirements.
This design is available for production. |

IDE
write block or address redirection / encryption as above but packaged
in PCI format. PCI bus is used to provide the low voltage power.
This design is available for production. |

The
flagship product, this compact design provides IDE redirection and
byte level encryption of data being sent to the hard drive. This
initial design is shown attached to the data port of a hard drive.
